Roland Grimm Travel Award
Grimm funding, in combination with funding from other sources, will enable successful applicants to conduct scholarly work and research in Asia for at least eight weeks during the summer. Eligible faculty may also submit concurrent applications for Summer Faculty Research Grant (FRG), the NEH Summer Stipend (not currently active) and the Summer Research Seed Grant.

Grant amount: Up to $7,000
Application deadline: Friday, October 23, 11:59 pm CDT
Award notification: By December 4
Grant period: May 15– August 31, 2027. Research must be conducted for at least eight weeks, not necessarily consecutive, during the grant period.
Eligibility: All assistant professors, associate professors, and professors at Washington University who will be conducting research in Asia. Applicants in health and the natural science areas are encouraged to seek other funding sources.
