Academic Talk by Professor Anne Duncan

Please join the WashU Classics community in attending a talk by Dr. Anne Duncan, Professor of Classics and Chair of the Department of Classics and Religious Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Professor Duncan is an expert is Roman theater and spectacular entertainment and is the author of Tyranny and Theater in the Ancient World: Command Performances (Bloomsbury Academic, 2025) and Performance and Identity in the Classical World (Cambridge University Press, 2006). Professor Duncan is currently working on two book projects, a textbook on Roman spectacular entertainment and a study of ancient mime actresses.
