ACLS Fellowship proposal external review for faculty in the humanities and humanistic social sciences

Faculty who are planning to submit a proposal for the 2026 ACLS Fellowship competition are invited to participate in an external review process coordinated by the Center for the Humanities.

Scholars in all disciplines of the humanities and interpretive social sciences are eligible to apply for the fellowship. In the 2026-27 competition cycle, the program will award at least 60 fellowships ($60,000 for 12 months) to scholars across all stages of the scholarly career. Approximately half of this year’s awards will support early career scholars.
