Laura Perry

Laura Perry is the assistant director for research and public engagement for the Center for the Humanities at Washington University in St. Louis. She supports the center’s initiatives and collaborates with the broader WashU humanities community to develop programming and fund humanities research. She co-organizes the Sumner StudioLab, a community-engaged hub located at historic Sumner High School, and is a co-PI on The Engaged City, a cultural asset-mapping project funded by the Mellon Foundation. Prior to joining the Center for the Humanities in 2022, she was a Mellon Postdoctoral Scholar with University of Iowa’s Humanities for the Public Good initiative. She earned her PhD in English from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
